Forward Networks provides a vendor-neutral abstraction that models the organization's network across all devices, both on-prem and in the cloud.
Types of Assets Fetched
This adapter fetches the following types of assets:
- Devices
Parameters

Host Name or IP Address (required) - The hostname or IP address of the Forward Networks server.

User Name and Password (required) - The credentials for a user account that has the permissions to fetch assets. The API access key can be used as a user and the API Secret Key can be used as the password. For more information, see APIs.

Fetch Hosts Using NQE Query - Select to use the Network Query Engine endpoint to fetch additional devices.

Verify SSL - Select to verify the SSL certificate of the server against the CA database inside of Axonius. For more details, see SSL Trust & CA Settings.

HTTPS Proxy (optional) - Connect the adapter to a proxy instead of directly connecting it to the domain.

HTTPS Proxy User Name (optional) - The user name to use when connecting to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.

HTTPS Proxy Password (optional) - The password to use when connecting to the server using the HTTPS Proxy.

Advanced Settings
From Version 4.6, Advanced settings can either apply for all connections for this adapter, or you can set different advanced settings and/or different scheduling for a specific connection, refer to Advanced Configuration for Adapters.
- Do not display Asset name for devices - Select to not display the asset name for devices.
- Network Name Include list (optional) - Enter a list of comma-separated network names to include in the fetch. If left empty, all network names are included in the fetch.

APIs
Axonius uses the Forward API. Contact your admistrator for further information about connecting.
Required Ports
Axonius must be able to communicate with the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the following ports:
- TCP port 443/80
Required Permissions
The value supplied in User Name must have Read permissions to fetch assets.
Version Matrix
This adapter was only tested with the versions marked as supported, but may work with other versions. Contact Axonius Support if you have a version that is not listed, which is not functioning as expected.
