Article summary

You can remove entire Workflows from the system or temporarily deactivate and reactivate them as needed.

Note:

You can also delete individual components (Event, Event Condition, Action, or Action Condition) from a Workflow. Refer to the relevant section in Viewing and Editing Workflows.

Deleting Workflows

Deleting a Workflow permanently removes it from the system. Once deleted, a Workflow cannot be recovered.
Delete Workflows using one of the following methods:

  • From the Workflows page (multiple deletion): Select and delete one or more Workflows directly from the table on the main Workflows page. Learn how to delete one or more Workflows directly from the All Workflows table.

  • From the Workflow configuration page (single deletion):
To delete a Workflow from its configuration page

    1. Open the Workflow you want to delete.
    2. In the Workflow configuration pane that opens, at the top, click Delete Workflow.
    3. In the confirmation prompt, click Delete to permanently remove the Workflow. This action cannot be undone.

Deactivating or Activating a Workflow

Deactivating a Workflow prevents it from running, but its configuration is preserved for future use. You can deactivate or activate Workflows using two methods:

  • From the Workflows page (multiple activation/deactivation): Select and deactivate or activate one or more Workflows directly from the table on the main Workflows page. Learn how to deactivate/activate one or more Workflows directly from the All Workflows table.

  • From the Workflow configuration page (single activation/deactivation):
To deactivate a Workflow from its configuration page

    1. Open the desired Workflow.

    2. In the Workflow configuration pane that opens, near the Workflow name, click the Workflow Settings icon WorkflowSettingsIcon to open the Workflow Settings pane.

    3. Toggle off Activate to deactivate. Pause appears in the Workflow canvas near the Workflow Settings icon WorkflowSettingsIcon.

    4. Click Save and Activate (for an Event-triggered Workflow), or Save and Run (for an Action-triggered Workflow). The workflow goes into Paused mode. Paused is displayed in the Workflows table under the Workflow Status column.

To resume activation of the Workflow

    1. Repeat steps 1-2 above.
    2. Toggle on Activate. The workflow goes into Active mode.
