Deleting and Deactivating/Activating Workflows

Note:

You can also delete a Workflow component (Event, Event Condition, Action, or Action Condition) from a Workflow. Refer to the relevant section in Viewing and Editing Workflows.

Deleting Workflows

You can remove one or more entire Workflows from the system by deleting them directly from the table on the Workflows page or you can delete a single Workflow from its configuration page. Once deleted, you cannot retrieve a Workflow.

To delete a Workflow from its configuration page

  1. Open a Workflow.
  2. In the Workflow configuration that opens, on top of the configuration pane, click Delete Workflow. The system asks you to confirm your choice. Once you confirm, the Workflows are completely deleted from the system. This cannot be undone.

Deactivating or Activating a Workflow

You can deactivate/activate one or more entire Workflows from the system directly from the table on the Workflows page or you can deactivate/activate a single Workflow from the Settings on its configuration page.
When you deactivate a Workflow, it doesn't run, but its configuration is saved in the system for later use.

To deactivate a Workflow from its configuration page

  1. Open a Workflow.
  2. In the Workflow configuration that opens, near the Workflow name, click the Workflow Settings icon WorkflowSettingsIcon, and in the Workflow Settings pane that opens, toggle off Activate. Pause appears in the Workflow canvas near the Workflow Settings icon WorkflowSettingsIcon.

  1. Click Save and Activate (for an Event-triggered Workflow), or Save and Run (for an Action-triggered Workflow). The workflow goes into Paused mode. Paused is displayed in the Workflows table under the Workflow Status column.

When you want to resume activation of the workflow, toggle on Activate. The workflow goes into Active mode.
