Account Settings

From your account settings, you can change your password, view and reset your API key, and select a default table view.

Changing Your User Password

To change your user password:

1. Click on your user avatar.
   
   

2. Click User Settings. This opens the My Account page.
3. On the Password tab, type your Current password, New password, and Confirm new password.
4. Click Save.

Viewing and Resetting Your API Key

Use the API Key tab to copy your personal API key or to generate a new key and secret. The API Key tab shows only your API key. It does not show your API secret.

The API Key tab is available only when both of these conditions are true:

• Your role has the API access permission.
• The Disable API Key Usage for Users setting is disabled. An admin manages this setting in System Settings > User and Role Management > Special Permissions, under Users API Keys.

To copy your API key:

1. Click on your user avatar.
2. Click User Settings.
3. On the API Key tab, click the copy icon next to your API key.

To reset your API key:

1. Click on your user avatar.
2. Click User Settings.
3. On the API Key tab, click Reset Key. Reset Key is available only when your role has the permission to reset the API key.
4. To confirm, click Reset Key. Axonius generates a new API key and secret, and shows them in the User account key dialog, as API Key and API Secret. The old key stops working, and all applications that use it stop working.
5. Copy the new API secret and keep it in a safe location. Axonius shows the API secret only in this dialog.

Selecting a Default Table View

Your default table view determines which data is displayed in asset tables. See Selecting a Table View for more about table views.

1. Click on your user avatar.
2. Click User Settings.
3. On the Default Table View tab, from Default View, select the table view you want as the default.
4. Click Save.
