Axonius supports Jira Ticket Created as an event in a Workflow. Whenever a user opens a ticket in Jira, an event is created. All Workflows configured with this event are then triggered.
Configuring Jira to Send Events to Axonius
Before including this event in a Workflow the first time, you need to do the following:
- Enable events in the Atlassian adapter. Learn how to enable events in the Atlassian adapter from System Settings.
- In the Jira Service Management (Service Desk) Fetch Tickets adapter, enable the Enable real-time asset updates (Supported events: New Tickets) advanced option.
Adding the Jira Ticket Created Event to the Workflow
You can add Jira Ticket Created as the triggering Event of a Workflow or as an event anywhere else in the Workflow, where relevant. When this event occurs, the Workflow begins or continues running.
To select the Jira Ticket Created event as the Workflow trigger
- In the Trigger Type pane, under Incident Created or Updated, click the Jira Ticket Created tile.
The Workflow is triggered each time a Jira ticket is created. The next node runs on the retrieved ticket.
To select Jira Ticket Created as a non-triggering event
- In the Event pane, under Incident Created or Updated, click the Jira Ticket Created tile.
In this case, when a Jira ticket is created by the User retrieved from the previous node, an event occurs, and the Workflow continues running.
