Duplicating Workspace Home Page Dashboards

Use the Duplicate action to create a copy of an Axonius-managed workspace Home page dashboard. The duplicated dashboard is created as a Shared dashboard with the name prefix "COPY -" followed by the original dashboard name.

Workspace Home page dashboards are managed by Axonius and cannot be edited or deleted. When you duplicate a workspace Home page dashboard, you create an editable copy that you can customize to meet your specific needs.

Required Permissions

To duplicate a workspace Home page dashboard, you must have the following:

  • Permission to add dashboards to the Shared folder
  • A Shared folder must exist in your environment

If you don't have permission to add dashboards to the Shared folder, or if the Shared folder feature is disabled in the system settings, the Duplicate option is not available.

To enable the Shared folder feature:

  1. From the top right corner of any page, click the Settings icon. The System Settings page opens.
  2. In the Categories/Subcategories pane, expand User and Role Management, and select Special Permissions.
  3. In Object Sharing Settings, enable Allow sharing dashboards and queries to all Data Scopes.

Duplicating a Workspace Home Page Dashboard from Inside the Dashboard

To duplicate a workspace Home page dashboard from inside the dashboard:

  1. On the Dashboards page, navigate to Managed by Axonius > Homepages. Select the workspace Home page dashboard you want to duplicate.
  2. At the top right of the dashboard, click the three-dot menu.
  3. Select Duplicate.

The duplicated dashboard opens automatically. The dashboard is created as a Shared dashboard with the name "COPY - <original dashboard name>". This dashboard is editable and can be assigned as the Home page of a workspace.

Duplicating a Workspace Home Page Dashboard from the Dashboard Left Pane

To duplicate a workspace Home page dashboard from the dashboard left pane:

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. In the left pane, locate the workspace Home page dashboard you want to duplicate.
  3. Hover over the dashboard name, and then click the three-dot menu.
  4. Select Duplicate.

The duplicated dashboard opens automatically. The dashboard is created as a Shared dashboard with the name "COPY - <original dashboard name>". This dashboard is editable and can be assigned as the Home page of a workspace.

About Duplicated Dashboards

When you duplicate a workspace Home page dashboard:

  • The duplicated dashboard is created as a Shared dashboard, regardless of the original dashboard's access settings
  • The dashboard name is prefixed with "COPY -" followed by the original dashboard name
  • All charts are copied, including all settings as they are in the original, maintaining the order of the charts, size, name, description, and queries
  • The duplicated dashboard can be edited independently, like any other dashboard
  • You can change the name, queries, and any other settings in the duplicated dashboard
  • The duplicated dashboard is placed in the Shared folder
