Axonius uses the Proxmox REST API v2.

Permissions

The value supplied in User Name must have read access to devices - 'PVEAuditor' role. For more details, see Proxmox VE - Permission Management.

Connecting the Adapter in Axonius

To connect the adapter in Axonius, provide the following parameters:

Required Parameters

  1. Proxmox Domain - The hostname or IP address of the Proxmox VE server.

  2. Port - Connection port.

  3. User Name and Password - The credentials for a user account that has the Required Permissions to fetch assets. A user is often internally identified by their user name and realm in the form <userid>@<realm>

    Examples:
    userid@realm
    root@pam

Optional Parameters

  • Verify SSL - Verify the SSL certificate offered by the value supplied in Proxmox Domain. For more details, see SSL Trust & CA Settings.

  • Tags to parse as fields - Enter a comma-separated list of tag keys to be parsed as device fields. Each tag is a key-value pair that is part of the Adapter Tags complex field.
