Types of Assets Fetched

This adapter fetches the following types of assets:

  • Devices

Parameters

  1. Host Name or IP Address (required) - The hostname or IP address of the Rubrik server that Axonius can communicate with via the Required Ports.

  2. API Key (optional) - An API Key associated with a user account that has permissions to fetch assets.
    To generate a new API token from Rubrik:

    1. Click the account name in the upper right corner of the UI and select API Token Manager.
    2. Click the green + button in the upper right corner to start a new token wizard.
    3. Fill in the duration (in days) and a tag value (to describe the token) to complete the workflow.
Note:

When API Token is not supplied, User Name and Password are required.

  1. User Name and Password (optional) - The credentials for a user account that has the permissions to fetch assets.
Note:

When User Name and Password are not supplied, API Key is required.

  1. Verify SSL (required, default: False) - Select whether to verify the SSL certificate offered by the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address. For more details, see SSL Trust & CA Settings.
  2. HTTPS Proxy (optional, default: empty) - A proxy to use when connecting to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address.
    • When supplied, Axonius uses the proxy when connecting to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address.
    • When not supplied, Axonius connects directly to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address.
  3. HTTPS Proxy User Name (optional, default: empty) - The user name to use when connecting to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.
    • When supplied, Axonius authenticates with this value when connecting to the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.
    • When not supplied, Axonius does not perform authentication when connecting to the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.
  4. HTTPS Proxy Password (optional, default: empty) - The password to use when connecting to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.
    • When supplied, Axonius authenticates with this value when connecting to the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.
    • When not supplied, Axonius does not perform authentication when connecting to the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.

Advanced Settings

Note:

Advanced settings can either apply for all connections for this adapter, or you can set different advanced settings and/or different scheduling for a specific connection, refer to ​Advanced Configuration for Adapters.

  1. Fetch VMs as Devices (required, default: false) - Select whether to fetch virtual machines from Rubrik as devices.
  2. Fetch SQL Servers (required, default: false) - Select whether to fetch SQL servers from Rubrik.

Required Ports

Axonius must be able to communicate with the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the following ports:

  • 443
  • 8080


Version Matrix

This adapter was only tested with the versions marked as supported, but may work with other versions. Contact Axonius Support if you have a version that is not listed, which is not functioning as expected.
