Ivanti Neurons for ITSM - Create Computer
Ivanti Neurons for ITSM - Create Computer creates a new computer Configuration Item (CI) in your Ivanti Neurons for ITSM CMDB for:
- Assets that match the results of the selected saved query, and match the Enforcement Action Conditions, if defined or assets selected on the relevant asset page.

- Not all asset types are supported for all Enforcement Actions.

Required Fields
These fields must be configured to run the Enforcement Set.
- Action name - The name of this Enforcement Action. The system sets a default name. You can change the name.
- Configure Dynamic Values (optional) - Toggle on to enter a Dynamic Value statement. See Creating Enforcement Action Dynamic Value Statements to learn more about Dynamic Value statement syntax.

Use stored credentials from Ivanti Neurons for ITSM adapter - Select this option to use the first Ivanti Neurons for ITSM connected adapter credentials.
- When you select this option, the Select Adapter Connection drop-down is available, and you can choose which adapter connection to use for this Enforcement Action.
Required Fields
These fields are required to run the Enforcement Action.

Name - The hostname or device name of the computer to create in Ivanti.

CI Type - The Configuration Item type (for example, Laptop, Desktop, Server, Mobile Device).

Status - The asset status (for example, In Use, Retired, Planned).

Compute Node - The Axonius node to use when connecting to the specified host. For more details, see Working with Axonius Compute Nodes.
Additional Fields
These fields are optional.
- Asset Tag - Asset tag identifier.
- Manufacturer - Device manufacturer name.
- Model - Device model name.
- Serial Number - Device serial number.
- Operating System - Operating system name and version.
- IP Address - IPv4 or IPv6 address of the device.
- MAC Address - Hardware MAC address.
- Location - Physical location or site of the device.
- Compliance Status - Compliance status (for example, Compliant, Non-Compliant).
- Encryption Status - Encryption status (for example, Encrypted, Not Encrypted).
- Patch Status - Patch compliance status (for example, Patched, Unpatched).
Connection Settings
Connection and CredentialsWhen Use stored credentials from the adapter is toggled off, some of the connection fields below are required to create the connection, while other fields are optional.
Domain - Domain name the to which the device belongs.
Host Name or IP Address - The base URL of your Ivanti Neurons for ITSM tenant. Must include the protocol prefix (https://). Example: https://yourtenant.ivanti.com
REST API Key - REST API Key created via Configuration Console > Security Controls > API Keys. This is the Reference ID of the API key.
Verify SSL (optional) - Select whether to verify the SSL certificate of the server against the CA database inside of Axonius. For more details, see SSL Trust & CA Settings.
HTTPS Proxy (optional) - Connect the adapter to a proxy instead of directly connecting it to the domain.
HTTPS Proxy User Name (optional) - The user name to use when connecting to the server using the HTTPS Proxy.
HTTPS Proxy Password (optional) - The password to use when connecting to the server using the HTTPS Proxy.
Gateway Name - Select the Gateway through which to connect to perform the action.
APIs
Axonius uses the Ivanti Neurons for ITSM REST API.
Required Ports
Axonius must be able to communicate via the following ports:
- Port 443 (HTTPS)
Required Permissions
The REST API Key must have permissions to create Configuration Items (business objects) in Ivanti Neurons for ITSM.
The exact permission names should be confirmed with your Ivanti Neurons for ITSM administrator or Ivanti support, as specific role-based permissions may vary by configuration.
