The Cisco Prime adapter connects to the Cisco Prime network management software suite, and retrieves information about wired and wireless devices that are connected using Cisco infrastructure.

The Cisco Prime adapter connection requires the following parameters:

  1. URL – The URL of the management service
  2. User Name & Password - The user name and password for a read-only account with the “NBI Credential” and “NBI Read” permissions.
  3. Wireless VLAN Exclude List (optional) - you can exclude devices associated with one or a list of VLANs separated by comma.
  4. Choose Instance - if you are using multi-nodes, choose the Axonius node that is integrated with the adapter. By default, the 'Master' Axonius node (instance) is used. For details, see Connecting Additional Axonius Nodes
NOTE
Cisco Prime applies rate limits to API requests from non-admin users. In large networks, using a read-only account may cause delays during the discovery process. In those cases, an account with admin privileges may be used; or the rate limits may be adjusted per the following URL: https://d1nmyq4gcgsfi5.cloudfront.net/media/pi_3_4_devnet/api/v4/index.html@id=rate-limiting-doc.html
