Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) - Create or Update Asset

Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) - Create or Update Asset creates or updates an asset in Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) for:

  • Assets returned by the selected query or assets selected on the relevant asset page.

Required Fields

These fields must be configured to run the Enforcement Action.

  • Action name - The name of this Enforcement Action. The system sets a default name. You can change the name.
  • Configure Dynamic Values - Toggle on to enter a Dynamic Value statement. See Creating Enforcement Action Dynamic Value Statements to learn more about Dynamic Value statement syntax.
  • Use stored credentials from the Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) adapter - Select this option to use credentials from the adapter connection. By default, the first connection is selected.

    • When you select this option, the Select Adapter Connection drop-down becomes available. Select the adapter connection to use for this Enforcement Action.

      To use this option, you must successfully configure a Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) adapter connection.

  • Action Choice - Select the action to perform:

    • Create - Create new assets in Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk). Do not update any assets that already exist in Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk).
    • Create and Update - Create assets in Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) and update existing assets.
    • Update - Update existing assets in Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk).
  • Compute Node - The Axonius node to use when connecting to the specified host. For more details, see Working with Axonius Compute Nodes.

Connection and Credentials

When Use stored credentials from the adapter is toggled off, some of the connection fields below are required to create the connection, while other fields are optional.

  • Ivanti UEM Domain - The full URL of the Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk) server.

  • User Name and Password - The credentials for a user account that has the Required Permissions to perform this Enforcement Action.

  • Exclude connections - Assets from the selected connections will not be included in the query results. You can select more than one.

  • Map Axonius fields to adapter fields - Use the Field Mapping Wizard to map Axonius fields to fields in Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk). In this way you can transfer data found in Axonius into Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (Landesk). The wizard shows you which fields exist on the Axonius system, allowing you to map them easily.

  • Additional fields (json format) - Specify additional fields to be added as part of the incident as key/value pairs in a JSON format.
    • For example:

      {"field1": "value1", "field2": "value2"}
  • Gateway Name - Select the Gateway through which to connect to perform the action.

Axonius uses the Landesk API MBSDK.

Required Permissions

The stored credentials, or those provided in Connection and Credentials, must have the following permission(s) to perform this Enforcement Action:

  • Grant a role in EPM ("Auditor")
  • Add to Windows Security Group ("Landesk Management Suite")
