Configuring Per-User Quotas

Use per-user quotas to limit how much each user can interact with the AI Agent within a given period. When a user reaches their quota, the agent notifies them directly in the chat interface.

Required Permissions

You must have administrator access to Axonius AI Agent settings.

Setting a Per-User Quota

Quotas define the maximum amount of AI Agent usage allowed per user.

To set per-user quotas:

  1. From the top right corner of any page, click (System Settings). The System Settings page opens.
  2. In the Categories/Subcategories pane of the System Settings page, expand AI Settings, and select User Quotas.
  3. Enter the maximum usage allowed per user.
  4. Cllick Save.

Viewing Quota Usage

Admins can monitor how much of their quota each user has consumed.

What Users See

When a user reaches their quota, the AI Agent notifies them in the chat. The notification is displayed directly in the conversation, not in a separate alert. Users do not need to contact an administrator to learn they have hit their limit — the agent communicates it in context.

Users cannot continue interacting with the agent after their quota is exhausted until the limit resets or an administrator adjusts their quota. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: Confirm whether admins can manually reset a user's quota mid-period, and if so, how]

Adjusting or Removing a Quota

To change an existing quota:

  1. Navigate to the quota settings page.
  2. Update the quota value for the relevant user or group.
  3. Save your changes.

To remove a quota entirely and grant unlimited access.
