Discovery and Data Collection

Axonius CPA leverages passive network monitoring through the Axonius Network Inspector server appliance connected to a core switch SPAN port, where it analyzes mirrored traffic through deep packet inspection (DPI). This intelligence is channeled into purpose-built sections, including the IoT/OT Discovery Workspace and the Medical Devices Management Workspace, enabling security and operations teams to apply risk-based policy enforcement, vulnerability handling, and compliance reporting for critical operations.
