These Release Notes contain new features and enhancements added in version 8.0.9.

Software Assets New Features and Enhancements

The following new features and enhancements were added to Software Assets:

Software Registry

  • Updated Software Registry Logic – The Software Registry page now displays:
    • All software assets with a value in the Approval Status field, regardless of whether the asset was imported from an external source, manually added, or edited.
    • All software assets with a value in the Software Registry: the Source field (such as Manual or CSV). This ensures visibility for software even if it is not currently detected on a device.

The following new features and enhancements were added to the Dashboards:

Chart Enhancements

View Query Comparisons as a Venn Chart Visualization

The ability to create Venn Circle diagram visualizations has been added to the Query Comparison Chart. They offer a simple and intuitive option for the majority of use cases, where you need to quickly compare two or three categories.

By default, sections of a Venn circle chart are named after the query they represent. The name of the query, and therefore the chart sections, can be changed to something more meaningful. Note that changing the name here changes the name of the query.

Venn charts have the following benefits:

  • Users can easily see overlaps and exclusivity between 2-3 categories or queries directly in dashboards.
  • Analysis of intersections becomes faster, clearer, and less error-prone, reducing the need for exports and lowering demand on support teams.
  • Dashboards become more effective for communication, since circles are intuitive and easy to present to non-technical stakeholders.

Workflows

New Node

The following nodes were added:

New Exit Node Stops Workflow Execution

The new Exit node stops execution of a workflow. It can be used at the end of a workflow, within a Condition branch, or within a Repeat For Each loop. When used within a Repeat For Each loop, the node is an Exit Repeat node and stops execution of the loop. This provides greater control over your automation logic, enabling you to terminate processes early when criteria are met or errors occur. It is always the last node in the workflow or Repeat For Each loop.

System Settings

The following updates were made to various System settings:

New Name and Definition for the IP field in the Gateways Table

The IP field in the Gateways table is now named Host IP and displays the IP address of the machine where the gateway is installed.

For example:

  • If the Axonius instance IP address is 1.2.3.4, and the IP address of the machine where the gateway is installed is 5.6.7.8 then the Host IP value will be 5.6.7.8

New Permissions

New Permissions for Gateways

The Gateways Manage permission has been split into two separate permissions:

  • View - Allows users to view the Gateways page and gateway details.
  • Write - In addition to view permissions, allows users to create and edit gateways.

This give better control over who can view and change gateways.

Adapter and Enforcement Action Updates

New Adapters

The following new adapters were added:

  • Adyen

    • Adyen is a financial‑technology platform that provides end‑to‑end payment processing, risk management, and global acquiring for online, mobile, and point‑of‑sale transactions. (Fetches: Devices, Users)

  • Fivetran

    • Fivetran is a data integration tool that provides automated data pipelines for seamless data movement. (Fetches: Users, Roles, Groups, Application Resources)

  • Apple Business Manager

    • Apple Business Manager is a web-based portal that provides device management, app distribution, and user access control for organizations integrating with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. (Fetches: Devices)

  • Interact Software

    • Interact Software is a collaboration platform that offers tools for internal communication and employee engagement. (Fetches: Users)

  • VISO Trust

    • VISO Trust is a third-party risk management platform that offers automated security due diligence and continuous assessment of vendor trust data using AI insights. (Fetches Users, Organizational Units)

Adapter Updates

The following adapters were updated:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Added the option to fetch only currently used images (AMIs).

  • Atlassian Confluence - Bearer Token and Organization ID can now be used for connection configuration**.**

  • CSV and Custom Files - When importing a file using SMB Share, users can now select the SMB version to use: V1, V2, or V3. This capability applies to any other file-based adapter.

  • GreyNoise - This adapter now fetches Vulnerabilities.

  • Cisco CX Cloud - This adapter now supports version 2 of the Cisco CX-Cloud API

  • Claroty xDome - Added the option to not fetch retired devices.

  • ManageEngine Endpoint (Desktop) Central and Patch Manager Plus - Added an option to fetch custom groups data.

  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager - This adapter can now use a proxy for the connection.

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Intune - Added an option to parse the serial number of Apple devices as the Asset Name. In addition, a new field named Is Apple Enrolled was added under Devices, indicating whether the device is from Apple or not.

  • NS1

    • This adapter now fetches Network Services.
    • It is now possible to select the specific DNS record types (such as A, AAAA, or CNAME; default: A, AAAA,) that you want Axonius to ingest.

  • Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR - Added the option to enrich devices with recent executables.

  • Proofpoint - This adapter now fetches Application Settings.

  • Slack - Added the option to fetch Approved Apps in Slack.

  • Tenable.sc (SecurityCenter) - Added the option to fetch and parse Plugin-71643 output.

  • Venafi

    • This adapter now fetches users.
    • Added the option to fetch identities as users.

  • Wiz - Axonius has updated the Wiz Axonius Integration and customers should now use the Wiz Axonius Integration, instead of service accounts.

New Enforcement Actions

The following Enforcement Actions were added:

  • ControlUp - Add Tags - Adds tags to assets in ControlUp.
  • Freshservice - Create Service Request per Asset - Create a Service request in Freshservice.
  • ServiceNow

    • Renamed enforcement action: ServiceNow - Request Catalog Item has been renamed to ServiceNow - Request Catalog Item Per Asset to better reflect that enforcement action's behavior.

    • New enforcement action: ServiceNow - Request Catalog Items - Creates a single catalog item request with a CSV attachment that includes all assets in the action trigger.

Updated Enforcement Actions

The following Enforcement Actions were updated:

  • ServiceNow - Create Assets - When Split related assets by complex field is enabled, the field can be filtered by Axonius field, Filter type, and Filter value. Multiple filters can be configured.
  • BMC Helix Remedy - Create Ticket - Added the following fields to the Additional Fields section:

    • Assignee Groups

    • Detailed Description

    • RLY_Categorization Tier1

    • RLY Categorization Tier2

    • TicketID_RPY

    • ID Cliente
