Lansweeper Cloud federates data from all local Lansweeper discovery instances into a single source of truth.


Types of Assets Fetched

This adapter fetches the following types of assets:

  • Devices

Parameters

  1. Host Name or IP Address (required) - The hostname or IP address of the Lansweeper Cloud server that Axonius can communicate with via the Required Ports. You should enter https://api.lansweeper.com.

  2. Token (required) - An API Key associated with a user account that has the Required Permissions to fetch assets.
    To obtain a token, see Obtaining a Token.

  3. Verify SSL - Select whether to verify the SSL certificate of the server against the CA database inside of Axonius. For more details, see SSL Trust & CA Settings.

  4. HTTPS Proxy (optional) - Connect the adapter to a proxy instead of directly connecting it to the domain.

  5. HTTPS Proxy User Name (optional) - The user name to use when connecting to the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the value supplied in HTTPS Proxy.

  6. HTTPS Proxy Password (optional) - The password to use when connecting to the server using the HTTPS Proxy.

Advanced Settings

Note:

Advanced settings can either apply for all connections for this adapter, or you can set different advanced settings and/or different scheduling for a specific connection, refer to ​Advanced Configuration for Adapters.

  1. Ignore Device Types (optional) - Enter one or more comma-separated device types to ignore.
  2. Ignore devices with no last seen - Select this option to not fetch devices if they do not have a last seen.

APIs

Axonius uses the Lansweeper V2 API.

Required Ports

Axonius must be able to communicate with the value supplied in Host Name or IP Address via the following ports:

  • TCP port 8080

Required Permissions

The value supplied in Token must be associated with credentials that have Oauth Client App permissions to fetch assets.

Obtaining a Token

To obtain a non-expiring token

  1. From the Lansweeper site, on the left bottom corner, click your profile logo.

  2. From the left panel, select Developer tools > All applications.

  3. Click Add new application.

  4. From the Add new application dialog, select Personal Application and click Continue.

  5. From the dialog that appears, fill-in the fields and click Authorize.

    The Site Permissions dialog appears.

  6. Under Token expiration time, select No expiration time.

  7. Under Which sites do you want to give access..., select Deselect all sites.

  8. Click Allow. The Application Identity Code window appears with your identity code.

Note:

The identity code won't be visible again. Make sure you save it for future use.

  1. Paste the identity code into the Axonius Token parameter.
