This article explains how to import and export Dashboards in Axonius. Users with the proper permission level can export a Dashboard as a JSON file, and then import it into another Axonius environment. All charts and settings, as well as access permissions, are exported when a Dashboard is imported. Data Scopes can be used to control who has access to the Dashboard. To export or import a Dashboard, users must use the three dot menu next to the tab name on the left navigation panel of the Dashboard page.
You can import and export Dashboards to and from Axonius. Dashboards are exported from Axonius in JSON file format. An exported Dashboard can be imported. This makes it easy to move Dashboards from one Axonius environment to another.
All charts and their settings, as well as access permissions, are exported. When a Dashboard is imported, only users with the proper permission level can access it.
- A Dashboard can only be imported to the same version of Axonius as it was exported.
- For systems not using Data Scopes:
- Users with the Import Dashboards and/or Export Dashboards permissions can export/import.
- Dashboards with Public access can be exported/imported.
- For systems using Data Scopes:
- Roles with Import Dashboards and/or Export Dashboards permissions can export/import Dashboards.
- Dashboards with Public access (Unrestricted dashboards) can be exported/imported.
For more information about Data Scopes, see Data Scope Management.
