The Device Profile page displays all the collected and correlated details of the selected device.
To open the Device Profile page from the Devices page in the query results table, click the relevant device record. When the Device Profile page opens, the profile name in the header is the Host/Asset Name of the device.
The Device Profile page consists of several tabs.
Adapter Connections Tab
The Adapters Data tab displays the device information per adapter.
The left panel displays the list of adapters connections that correlated to this device.
When you click on any of the listed adapters, the specific properties of the device collected from the selected/clicked adapter is displayed in the page main area.
If you have defined a Adapter Connection Label on the adapter connection configuration it will be concatenated to the adapter name value for the relevant adapter connection tab. This can help you distinguish between two adapter connections from the same adapter.
In addition to the different adapters listed under the Adapters Data tab, you might see 'WMI Info' adapter. This adapter is displayed only if Run WMI Scan has been executed on the Microsoft Active Directory (AD) server that manages the device. For more details, see Action Library.
Under all displayed adapters, the last item is Custom Data. This shows custom data for the device. You can add, edit and delete custom fields for the device.
Managing Custom Fields
The Custom Data tab displays a list of all the custom fields for this device and their value. It displays fields created using Device Actions, or added using Manage Custom Fields.
Click Manage Custom Fields to add fields to this device, edit their value or delete them.
For more details, see Device Actions.
The changes that you make here will only apply to this device, even if you added the fields to multiple devices from the Devices page.
The Device Profile page contains all parsed data. Use Advanced View to see the raw data as returned from the adapter, including unparsed data in XML or JSON format.
- Click View Advanced to view all device information in XML or JSON format, or View JSON if you are already on this page.
Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the JSON formatted data to the clipboard. This is useful for troubleshooting.
Click View XML to view all device information in XML format.
Click View Basic to go back to the main Adapter Connections page.
The Aggregated tab displays the aggregated and correlated data from all adapters about the device (“Basic Info”) and pre-defined highlighted/advanced data from specific adapters, displayed on the left panel.
Fore more details, see Device Profile Page - Aggregated Tabb.
Enforcement Tasks Tab
The Enforcement Tasks tab displays the list of enforcement tasks that had been executed on the device.
When you click a specific task, you can see the actions performed on the device and its result.
Extended Data Tab
The Extended Data tab displays reserved information tab.
The Notes tab displays list of custom notes about the device, including the user added the note and the time the note was added. To add a note, click Add Note.
The Tags tab displays the list of tags associated with the device. It shows tags with an expiration date.
To edit the device tags, click Edit Tags. Select the tags to be associated with the device and unselect tags you wish to unassociate from the device.
