Selecting an Event

This section describes how to select a triggering Event (from the Trigger Type pane) or a non-triggering Event (from the Event pane).

To select a Workflow Event

  1. The Trigger Type or Event pane opens in Cards view, displaying available Workflow Events by category.

  2. Toggle View: Switch between List view and Cards view using the Cards ECDrawerListButton.png and Tiles ECDrawerTileButton.png icons.

  3. Filter Events:

    • Search: Type all or part of the event name in the Search Event box to filter the list. The list is automatically filtered as you type. From the search results, select an event.
      For details on each event, refer to the Events Library.
    • Category: Select categories from the Category dropdown to filter events. Available categories include:
      • Axonius Utilities
      • Message Received
      • Message Responses
      • User Onboarded or Offboarded
      • Incident Created or Updated
      • Group Created or Updated.
  4. Expand/Collapse:

    • Click Collapse All/Expand All to hide/show all events under all categories.
    • Click Collapse CollapseEventCategoryIcon.png / Expand ExpandEventCategoryIcon.png icons to hide/show events within a specific category.
  5. Select Event: Click the Event card or name to add to the Workflow.
    The selected event is displayed in the Event node, showing the retrieved asset. The node is assigned a system-generated UUID (preceded by #), used to reference the node in the Workflow Data repository.

Example - Triggering Event Node

The following is an example of a triggering Event node - a Slack Message event that retrieves User assets.

The following shows a non-triggering Event node - a Slack Message vent that retrieves an asset from the previous Action node.
